How To Use Autoresponders Effectively Part I
It is essential that you know how to use autoresponders effectively if you are to be successful in online business. You will never be able to answer all your emails personally and still maintain a good service to your customers.
If you grab a cup, sit back and consider the mechanics of your internet business it will soon become obvious to you that communication between your customers and yourself is more than just the occasional email or order confirmation. Let’s look at what happens once the average person has decided to offer a new product, or even simply starts up a business and wants to sell a simple ebook.
First you have to begin to build a list of email addresses. You must try to persuade everybody that visits your website to leave you at least their first name and email address. For this you need an opt-in form, and an autoresponder can provide this for you. Everybody that fills in the details will then be added to a database by the autoresponder that will also collect the IP address of the computer used by the prospect. This might be useful in the event of a spamming complaint.
In order to get these details you might offer a newsletter or free course over a period of time. Just think on what is involved so far. If done manually, you would have to design a form and then copy down all the names and addresses to put onto a database. Now you will have to send out emails thanking the person who filled in your form and asking them to email you back to confirm their registration.
